AWWA Student Scholarship
With the Pacific Water Conference coming up very quickly, it is time to remind all AWWA member parents with college-bound children about the AWWA Scholarship for the Fall 2026 Semester. This scholarship is open to current AWWA members in good standing. Please refer to the information sheet and application form for details (link below). A maximum of three (3) scholarships of $3,000 each will be awarded for the 2026 Fall college year. Be sure to submit your application and direct any questions by email to: ken.ota@coreandmain.com (Attention: AWWA Scholarship Program 2026).
The Scholarship Committee’s decision will be announced at the 2026 Pacific Water Conference (Joint AWWA Hawaii Section | Hawaii Water Environment Association Annual Conference) taking place February 11-12, 2026.

Water Operator Continuing Education Fund Award
The Water Operator Continuing Education Fund is funded through the support of AWWA’s The Water Equation Campaign and the Hawaii Section AWWA.
AWWA’s The Water Equation Campaign and the Hawaii Section AWWA, will provide Water Operator Continuing Education Fund awardees monies for water operator training and education. (1) $1000 or (2) $500 awards are available yearly depending on need.
The funds can be used for certification/licensure, two-year water related associate degree, technical school program, professional development/training programs, books and manuals, and operator related conferences.
Each recipient will receive a one-year AWWA Operator membership.
All applications will be reviewed by the AWWA Hawaii section Executive Committee for completeness and merit. A maximum of two applications will be chosen for 2026. Deadline for applications will be Monday, February 2, 2026. 2026 The Water Operator Continuing Education Fund Application (PDF)
Eligibility/Guidelines:
• Applicants must be 30 years old or younger and either a current water operator or seeking to enter the water operator profession.
• Applicants must be pursuing an Operator’s License or Certification, two or four-year degree related to the water operator profession, or professional development.
• Disbursement of the funds will be made directly by the Section to the financial office of recipient’s college, university, or technical school.
• Items related to books, manuals, conferences, professional development courses, and other eligible expenses will be reimbursed to recipient upon presentation of eligible receipts.
• Applicants must reside or work within the geographical boundaries covered by the sponsoring Section.
• Acceptance of award monies constitutes permission to use recipient’s name and water story for purpose of promotion.
